On October 1, 2018, Den Breejen Bevrachtingen B.V. joined the PTC Group. This step marked the beginning of a close collaboration. While PTC was less active in waterborne transport of animal feed, DBB had built a strong position in this niche. The group gains added value from this addition: it spreads risks more effectively and aligns the work supply more efficiently.

Dutch Cargo Purchase

At the end of 2025, Den Breejen Bevrachtingen acquired Dutch Cargo Purchase B.V. For almost 35 years, DCP has been known as a reliable partner in logistics services on Europe’s inland waterways. However, the acquisition took place during a period in which DCP, as a relatively small-scale player with its own vessels, increasingly faced challenges to grow independently due to rising market complexity and expanding scale requirements. Moreover, the founder of DCP was looking ahead to his retirement, which naturally made the search for a strong partner to ensure continuity and future resilience the logical next step.

With the acquisition by PTC Groep, that continuity is guaranteed. Furthermore, the acquisition fits seamlessly into PTC Groep’s own growth strategy. By combining strengths, the group creates a stronger, broader, and more efficient network. As a result, this expanded network can respond even more effectively to the needs of shippers, vessel operators, and logistics partners.
